Hi from Priya

Hey everyone, I’m Priya! I’m so excited to share my journey with you! As a high school senior, I’m at that crazy crossroads where I’m trying to figure out my next steps after graduation. For me, that means something a little different than what a lot of my friends are planning: I’m all in on joining the armed forces.

Specifically, I’m looking to get some hands-on experience in technology and cybersecurity. The idea of getting paid to learn and train in a field that’s constantly evolving really appeals to me and I’ve always been into computers and coding. And if I decide to get a degree or certification later on, I’ll be able to use the GI Bill to help pay for it.

Now, my family? That’s a different story. They’re definitely not thrilled about me joining up so young. We’ve had a lot of tough conversations and it’s been a challenge to help them understand my reasons. But I’m determined to show them that this is the right path for me.

I’m here to tell you everything you need to know as you prepare for college and career applications. I’ll help you stay organized, answer your most frequently asked questions, give you a financial aid overview and touch on everything from military school to gap years. Let’s do this!
