Independent Colleges and Universities of Florida

  • Enrolls 160,000 students
  • Highest average starting salaries for graduates
  • Boasts most diverse student populations
  • Has a wide range of campus sizes (from 450 students to 21,000!)

Historically Black Colleges and Universities

  • 4 member schools (FAMU, Bethune-Cookman, Edward Waters, Florida Memorial)
  • FAMU is the nation’s largest HBCU
  • Grads increase lifetime earnings by $1.1 million
  • Extremely supportive of first-in-family college students
  • Generate 8,000 jobs and $833 million in revenue in Florida
