The Vegetarian Resource Group has two $5,000 scholarships and one $10,000 scholarship to give to U.S. high school students who have promoted vegetarianism in their schools and/or communities. www.vrg.org/student/scholar.htm

The American Society for Enology and Viticulture annually awards numerous scholarships to students pursuing a degree in enology, viticulture, or in a curriculum emphasizing a science related to the wine and grape industry. Award amounts vary from year to year. www.asev.org/scholarship-program

The Davidson Fellows Scholarship awards $50,000, $25,000 and $10,000 scholarships to extraordinary people, 18 and under, who have completed a significant piece of work in the fields of science, technology, math, literature, music and other areas. www.davidsongifted.org/fellows/
